What should a hair extension specification include?
A hair extension specification records the product type, hair quality preference, length, color reference, net hair weight and quantity. Add construction details and packaging requirements where relevant. A clear specification helps a manufacturer review your sample request and prepare a quotation against the same requirements.
Use a separate specification for each product, length and color combination. If a detail is undecided, record what you know and discuss the remaining requirements with Prime Human Hair.
What details are needed for wefts, tape-ins and K-tips?

How can you describe a custom hair color from a photo?
Use the photo palette to show the colors you want to discuss, then describe their placement and your requested blend proportions. Name the color chart or physical reference if you use a shade code.
Select the hair area yourself. The tool does not automatically identify hair, assign factory shade codes or determine a production formula. Root and end labels are your annotations. Explain whether blend proportions are measured by hair weight or compared with an agreed physical reference; photo pixel counts do not establish those proportions.
How is net hair weight calculated?
Net hair weight excludes tape, bonds, clips, thread and packaging.
Net hair weight per unit × units per pack = net hair weight per pack.
Net hair weight per pack × sample packs = total sample net hair weight for that specification.
For tape-ins, one unit means one tape-in piece, not a sandwich pair. Keep different lengths and colors in separate specifications.
How do you move from a specification to a sample?
- Start with the specifications you know.
- Review the remaining details with Prime Human Hair, then evaluate the sample against the agreed physical color reference, dimensions and net hair weight.
- Record any changes before using the specification for a repeat order.
Sample MOQ: 100 g per colour for solid colours; 200 g per colour for T-colours.

Can I use this tool to prepare a private label hair extension request?
Yes. Record your hair specifications together with your brand name, logo reference and packaging requirements. Packaging details are reviewed with the factory alongside the product requirements.
Can I save a specification if I do not know every detail?
Yes. Save what you know and discuss the remaining details with Prime Human Hair. If you are unsure about hair quality, select “Help me choose”. Saving a draft does not create an order or require payment.
Does the tool provide an instant price or approve production?
No. The report records your requested specifications for factory review. A quotation and production approval are separate steps. A photo palette does not guarantee exact color reproduction.
Can a photo identify an exact hair extension shade?
A photo can help communicate a color direction, but lighting, camera settings and screens affect its appearance. The tool extracts a digital reference palette from the area you select; it does not identify a factory shade code. Confirm the final color with a physical reference or an approved sample.
Can I download a color palette without entering contact details?
Yes. Photo selection, color extraction and PNG export run on your device. Saving a product report is a separate action that requires your agreement.
How should I specify end fullness?
Describe the measurement method and the positions or length threshold used. If you request a percentage, state exactly what it represents. Length distribution, circumference and weight describe different measurements and should not be treated as interchangeable.
