CUSTOM MANUFACTURING SPECIFICATIONS

Human hair specifications, with the correct unit for every product.

Prime Human Hair is a Qingdao-based B2B human hair products manufacturer. We develop extensions, wefts, bulk hair, wigs, toppers, closures and frontals from a written specification and approved sample.

Reviewed . The configurations below are development examples supplied by our manufacturing business, not a stock list or universal production promise.

Start with the construction and weight basis

We can discuss customized hair weights and configurations across product categories, from lightweight individual strands to 100–300g sets or bundles. Weight is specified per strand, tape piece, weft, bundle, set, or finished piece depending on construction.

Choose the length, weight, colour, texture and packaging for your collection. The options below are starting points; your approved sample sets the final product configuration. State whether an agreed weight means net hair only or the finished item including its bond, tape, seam, clips or base.

Reference lengths and measurement method

Custom lengths can also be developed for the selected product. A catalogue length does not establish end fullness. Agree where measurement starts, how the hair is laid out and what usable length means for the intended finished product. For wavy or curly hair, record both the agreed stretched measurement method and the relaxed appearance; do not compare these as the same measurement.

Colour development: more than a shade number

Solid, blended and rooted products require different instructions. A colour code identifies an agreed supplier reference, not a universal colour standard. Use physical swatches and approve the finished construction; screen images and lighting can shift the apparent tone.

Diagrams below explain colour placement only. They are not photographs, shade standards or a substitute for a physical sample.

Solid / Natural shades

One agreed shade, evaluated against a physical reference.

Piano / Mixed / Blended

Specify the component shades, their proportion and distribution.

Rooted / T-Color

Record root shade, root length and the transition into the lengths.

Ombre

Define the start and finish shades and where the transition begins.

Balayage

Agree highlight placement, contrast and the appearance on the finished construction.

Blonde / Platinum

Confirm tone and the condition of the intended processed material through a sample.

Custom Shade Matching

Match a physical hair swatch, colour ring or agreed shade code; screens can differ.

Texture, material and end fullness

Straight, Wavy, Curly textures can be discussed. Confirm the actual wave or curl pattern, available material and finished construction on the sample rather than treating a texture name as a standardized shape.

Material discussions can include Premium Remy, Cuticle Remy, Fully Cuticle-Intact Remy. These names are not laboratory certificates. Agree the processing history and evidence supporting cuticle-related descriptions; we do not publish an unsupported cuticle-retention percentage.

Double Drawn must be tied to an agreed measurement method and end-fullness reference. No Return Hair describes a confirmed Genius Weft construction, not all wefts.

MOQ follows the product and colour plan

Minimum-order discussion by order type
Order typeReference policy
Gram-based extensions / bulk hairFor gram-based extensions and bulk hair, standard starting quantities are 100g per solid colour and 200g per T-Color or mixed colour. The final minimum depends on construction, colouring and order size; sample and trial quantities are quoted separately.
Wigs / toppers / closures / frontalsMinimum quantities are quoted per finished piece according to the base or cap, colour and customization requirements. Gram-based extension minimums do not apply to wigs, toppers, closures or frontals.
Samples and small trialsConfirm the sample quantity and required development work separately from the normal production minimum.

A mixed order is not automatically one colour batch. Identify the grams, pieces, sets or bundles for each construction, shade and length before asking whether a combined order meets the applicable minimum.

A sample-to-production workflow

  1. Select a product reference and state the intended application.
  2. Agree length, weight basis, colour structure, texture, material, construction and packaging.
  3. Confirm sample scope and timing, then evaluate the physical sample.
  4. Approve a dated written specification with the identified sample and any agreed tolerances.
  5. Confirm production quantity, inspection method and shipment arrangements; record changes before production.

Previous sample projects took about 20 days, with international transport taking about 10–15 days. These are planning examples: your schedule depends on materials, colour development, sample revisions and shipping route. Sampling, production and transport are quoted separately.
