Use a current product you can describe and evaluate: the construction, usable length, hair-only weight, shade reference and pack count. State which characteristics must match and which changes you are willing to consider.

A supplier comparison is clearer when it starts with an identified product instead of a request to match an entire range at once. Keep the original product and the new sample labelled throughout the review.

Use the same test for both samples

Record the starting weight, length, colour and attachment condition before washing or styling. Apply the same agreed preparation, products and handling to both samples, then note the result at each checkpoint.

Evaluate the hair and attachment separately: compare colour, end fullness and handling alongside the weft edge, tape or bond. Retain the approved sample and test observations as the reference for production.
